Robert has worked in the golf business for over 25 years. An expert in ‘Change Management’, he has overseen many significant golf venue transformations and run numerous ‘Health Checks’ on existing facilities. Working closely with Owners, Investors, Committees, and existing teams, Robert has helped deliver change and performance improvements, with a clear focus on the evolving needs of clients and customers. Robert is leading 360 Golf’s involvement in the acquisition of golf businesses in Southern England.
Prior to working in golf, Robert worked with De Beers in their trading team, living and working in 8 different countries in that time.
A golfer since a young age, Robert is a member of Huntercombe in Oxfordshire.
Prior to founding 360 Golf, Mel worked in retail banking as well as owning a company specialising in commercial lending for property and leisure development.
His financial expertise has helped secure the viability and long-term sustainability of a variety of golf businesses, from existing venues to new developments.
He also has notable expertise in the marketing and delivery of successful membership programmes for private members’ clubs, including Queenwood and Beaverbrook, and advised members in the acquisition of Loch Lomond Golf Club.
